About Me

Brigitte DeHaven
Music, math, language arts, and teaching have been my life for decades. I sang in church and at local events from the time I could talk. I began piano lessons at age six, and have taught piano, served as pianist/organist, and directed adult and children’s choirs since I was a teen! I have performed in bands (concert, jazz, marching), choirs (concert, gospel, show), and dinner theatre.

With a BA in math education and music education, I taught math and language arts for several years, from elementary to high school, in public and private schools. I homeschooled our daughter up to 3rd grade. In 2010 I created an annual Poetry Panel program at a private school and ran it for 8 years. For what seems forever, I have run a private studio for piano/voice lessons and math/language arts tutoring. I also enjoy singing and playing keyboard/percussion with an eclectic band called Wicked Olde.
